HTC Sensation 4G clears the FCC
The HTC Sensation 4G (model number PG58100) is officially ready for the U.S. market, having cleared the FCC’s certification process. As you probably know, T-Mobile will get to carry the HSPA+ enabled device, which we’ve already briefly tested few weeks ago.
Some reports around the Interwebs suggested the PG58100 may be the HTC Doubleshot, but that’s not the case, according to the model number. The Doubleshot files leaked earlier show it has PG59100 as its model number, and unfortunately no such device has been spotted at the FCC.
As a reminder, the Sensation is a super-powerful Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) capacitive Super LCD touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera capable of recording video at 30fps in full HD (1080p) resolution, Wi-Fi and an array of “standard for Android” sensors, including GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and so on.
