Parkmobile enables mobile parking payment in Charlotte, North Carolina
Another day, another announcement from Parkmobile. Their latest “target” is the largest city in North Carolina – Charlotte. Starting today (May 9th), Parkmobile will integrate its service at over 30 non-gated Preferred Parking surface lots covering over 3,000 parking spaces in and around the Uptown Charlotte area, providing customers with the ability to pay for parking with their mobile phones.
You know the drill right? Register at Parkmobile’s website and then use a dedicated mobile app (available for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones), the internet, or a toll free phone call (800-280-4146) to pay for parking. Additionally, you can also select the ever useful option to receive SMS alerts and reminders when your parking payment is about to expire.
Finally we have a comment from Preferred Parking Services’ General Manager – Benjamin Sands. He said: “The convenience of the Parkmobile service and ability for customers to now have receipts for parking at locations that are not yet automated as well as providing them a quicker option for payment will be well-received and appreciated by our customers. We hope to introduce this service to the Asheville and Greensboro markets in the coming months.”
