University of Phoenix’s virtual classroom now available for the iOS device users
University of Phoenix, which is the largest private university in the U.S., was the first university to provide degrees online. Like that’s not enough, now they’re going for mobile users, namely those owning the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Using the new PhoenixMobile app — available as a free download — students get a new way to participate in the online classroom, even while they’re far from their computers. The application allows students to participate in classroom discussions, complete assignments and even get alerts the moment their grades are posted.
In a nutshell, you’ll be able to work on your degree even while walking in a park, travelling around the world… you get the point. Now if you also get some Bluetooth keyboard and pair it with your iDevice, you’ll get the winning combination. The true freedom of studying while not being stuck on a single place sounds like a dream come true. Love the concept. What do you think?
